Present Day Uses

  • used in ammonia and nitric acid
  • used in multiple oxides, including Nitrous Oxide, Nitric Oxide, and Nitrogen Dioxide. (Yes, Nitrous Oxide is nos.)
  • found in many photographic developers
  • found in morphine, caffeine, and quinine
